Lion Lager Rebranding
A rebranding was carried out and full brand identity manual developed for the iconic South African Lion Lager. The brand, although well loved, had not been able to attract a younger target audience due to its aging aesthetic and old school messaging. Hence, a rebranding was carried out which appeals to both classic drinkers of the lager and a younger target market. Elements like the logo and colour palette were used to turn the classic beer into a more craft-like product which could more effectively compete with other modern brands in the industry.
Develop and execute a rebrand and craft a new brand style guide for the iconic South African beer brand, Lion Lager.
An innovative approach was taken to recreate the Lion Lager brand in the eyes of a youthful South African target market. A new logo featuring the iconic lion head was utilized but with a distinct hipster aesthetic. A colour palette focusing on bronze was chosen to compliment the brand and to allude to a gentrified aesthetic, such as can be seen in factories, breweries and bar taps.
